This program runs on Windows XP and up. Unzip "OrganAnalyzer_XX.zip" file to a local directory on your harddisk.
KBP OrganAnalyzer will run in DEMO mode until activated by licence key. In DEMO mode, you may not save, import or print data, also export of tables for HX3.5 Tapering Editor is disabled. There is also a time limit of approx. 30 minutes. Otherwise, it is fully functional.

KBP OrganAnalyzer is a nifty tool for analyzing Hammond tonewheel generators. It samples data directly from tone generator outputs via microphone input of (USB or internal) soundcard, analyzes pitch, level und distortion of each tonewheel and records all measured tonewheels in a graph and a table.
For generator measurements, you won't have to observe and write down tonewheel levels manually - just touch the solder strip lugs on generator back with the probe, one by one. KBP OrganAnalyzer will automatically detect the frequency, tonewheel number and note, and will create a table for you. Tonewheel output is displayed on an oscilloscope, and it's spectral harmonics are displayed in a FFT audio spectrum analyzer. Here you can observe leakage and spectral distribution of each note.
It's main intent is simplifying exact generator alignment of Hammond console organs, i.e. after recap or mechanical work. The KBP OrganAnalyzer also offers comparison to a reference organ as well as factory alignment, so you may adjust your generator to a well-sounding organ (open OrganAnalyzer_sample_data.hxa file in user directory for an example).
In a licenced version, tables may be exported for use in HX3.5 Tapering editor. A special probe and calibration box is needed for exact results. Licences and probe/calibration box will be available through KeyboardPartner Shop from December, 2021. The licenced full version will also offer import of tonwheel data from other sources (like Kon Zissis' tables) as well as table printouts and graph hardcopies.
However, you may try it in DEMO mode at your own risk: Use microphone input on your (USB or internal) soundcard and an input divider of 22 Ohms / 10 Ohms so tonewheel pickup is loaded with appropriate resistance (32 Ohms) and will not overdrive the microphone input.
Note: Starting OrganAnalyzer after audio input configuration had been changed (added or removed audio device) caused the program to crash with repeating error messages sometimes. This might even occur when OrganAnalyzer hardware was added/removed due to old registry data. To prevent startup error messages, hold down CTRL key when starting OrganAnalyzer until message appears. This will delete all registry data (window positions, device used as well as licence key), so this might also be used to change licence information.
You have to re-enter licence information in About... box (just enter your name as on invoice and click Get from Server).
